Monino Aviation Museum, Russia

Love that Il-62; ostensibly a civilian airplane, adorned with Aeroflot titles, that SHF satcom antenna at the base of the tail betrays its identity as a government/VIP transport. Also, next to the Tu-22 Blinder, there's a jet with bort number Yellow 33 and an AS-4 Kitchen missile under its wing. If I didn't know any better, I'd say that's the Tu-22M Backfire prototype. Anyone able to identify it? |
