Chopper Photography On Northern Beaches

Just watching two choppers doing what looks like a photo shoot off Warriewood and Mona Vale. A red and white Jetranger has the film crew on board, and the other chopper is one of the yellow and red rescue BK117s by the looks of it.

They hovered low and close off Mona Vale beach then both climbed higher over Warriewood Headland to start a fast and low pass along the beach in formation (quite close).

The radio transmissions on 120.8Mz confirmed the photo shoot.

Jetranger: "This distance gives us more background in shot".
Jetranger: "Just asking if you can do something low and fast along the rocks"

Both choppers were back again today around 1600 shooting off Mona Vale beach. The film crew were asking the rescue chopper crew to point as if they had located something in the water. Looks like they are making a documentary or promo on the rescue service.
