I hope they at least have the good sense to leave the livery on the V Australia aircraft and just change the title. New Virgin Australia livery is bland and boring.

Well I may as well add my 1.67 cents (Damn US dollar!)

I like it. Its simple and I reckon it's quite striking in it's contrast.

And yes it would be cheaper to have a predominately white aircraft and in the age of rising costs it is a perfectly legitimate reason to change (IMHO).

I can hear the uproar now when the cabin crew explain to their passengers that they now have to pay to use the toilet because people insisted on their aircraft being painted in elaborate colours and schemes! :D

They want business customers and government, so bland and (maybe not boring) is intentional.

Looking at the close up view of the A330 I think it looks good. Saying that I prefer the Virgin American scheme, but I still think it more up to date than the all red CS.

Hope they do well, it's great to have choice over QF and Jetstar.

months of hype indeed. As for business customers i am pretty sure the paint on the aircraft is of no concern at all.

Ok... I change my attitude a little now after seeing better pics of the new livery. It looks nice in sunlight, but would look a whole lot better with a bit of purple, maybe the word "australia" in purple would really add that touch.

Honestly, they PAID someone good money to to come up with that? I'm in the wrong business!

Apalling...the AFL logojets look more exciting then that...

And personally, I think a colour scheme is an important part of an airline...if it wasn't, airlines around the world would be simply painting their aircraft white with basic logos to save costs

After designing such a beautiful livery on VA 777's, its an unbelievable let down when this is what the end result of so many months of hush hush...even more so as a staff member

I actually like it over the original branding, it is simpler, fresh, and if marketted correctly could give the company a 'new birth' in what is a tough market at the moment. I know QF used to heavily advertise on the TV to enhance a successful brand into what is a household name, If VA did sismilar marketting (not necessarily TV either) they could do much better in the business market than they may be doing now.
