VS 201 Cancelled today?
 

Was just wondering why VS201 was cancelled today? Family member has to sit around the Airport all day till the next plane arrives...

Inbound VS200 was also cancelled as well...

was to do with China earthquake as fights over China were disrupted

I understand some Chinese ATC centers were damaged and thus ATC's ability to handle the flights affected

It diverted to Beijing while en route from Heathrow to Hong Kong.

It continued on to Hong Kong arriving about 4.5 hrs late but dropped the Honkers-Sydney-Honkers legs.

The reasons must have been something other than maintaining the schedule, because the Sydney layover is long long enough to catch that back up.
