China Airlines to fly A350s to Sydney from 01 Dec

The second daily service from
Sydney to Taipei will operate early

The first scheduled A350 service to Sydney and two per day, if no one else jumps in earlier.

CHINA Airlines will be decreasing its
daily frequency between Taipei
Taoyuan and Sydney to five
weekly from 29 Oct to 26 Nov using A330s
before moving to double daily A350 flights.

The Double Daily services seem to have been a bit much, as they are now down to 3 x weekly CI55/56 (the daytime flights), with the overnight CI51/52 remaining daily.

I have experienced these changes first hand as 3 out of 4 of my flights cancelled weeks ahead, and the one that stayed as scheduled (CI55 on 12 June) had just 51 passengers - good for the passengers, but not for the airline.

I suspect that they will become seasonal.
