Qantas "near miss"
Just heard over the radio of a "near miss" involving a Qantas flight from Adelaide. Apparently it had to "climb rapidly to avoid colliding with a plane taking off"...
Anyone know the real story? |
Interesting to hear someone from Airservices at the GAAP to Class D afternoon refer to this type of incident as a " near hit "
|
Perhaps news reports state two Qantas aircraft were involved in a near miss at 4am. One was at gate 13, the other at gate 15..........
|
I think like you do, RobZ. A near miss implies that they actually collided, or "nearly missed", but didn't....
It was probably a go-around..... |
