Hi all,

I'm thinking of doing a daytrip to be on the last 767 flights...

Would anybody know if it's safe to book a seat now or to wait it out just to make sure there aren't any aircraft changes?

Thanks.

From my memory I only ever flew in a QF or any airlines 767 once back in 2006, I still get frustrated at myself to this day for not getting the registration of the airliner :( While some hate it while others love it, it will be a sad day to see these workhorses go. I love under the flight path that all Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide flights to sydney fly over, and it's sad to see less and less 767s.

Working the ramp in MEL, I love seeing the high AoA take offs, they are an amazing aircraft!

One of the nicest planes to fly. Landing smoothly is another story, but flying it was a joy.

Just got an email from QF and now the last 767 service is now QF452 still on the 27th of Dec... for anyone who may be booked call 131313 to change your booking to QF452!!!

Todd, I hear that the flare was very different in the RR's compared to the GE's as the RR's spooled down very quickly :)

Booked on the final flight from Adelaide on a 767 ADL-MEL QF686 Dec 17 2014.

Todd Hendry 15th October 2014 08:05 AM

To be honest Martin, I can't remember the difference. It's been 11 years since I've flown one.

JamesL 15th October 2014 12:10 PM

Booked on the last flight :)
