VH-OJS/OJT Hong Kong swap??

Anyone know what was going on with this?
According to available info,OJT operated the QF127 from SYD yesterday, but OJS seems to have operated QF128 which arrived back this morning and got diverted to Williamtown.
Apparently,OJT operated a QF86 from HKG to MEL.

Not sure what that's all about,so if anyone can shed any light I would be grateful.

Cheers
Jim

Still trying to find out a bit more about this. I can't remember ever seeing a different aircraft operating QF128 other than the one that arrived in HKG as QF127. This, together with OJT returning to MEL as QF86, a flight that seems to not exist normally,I would say this is all a little bit out of the ordinary.

Cheers

VH-OJS operated QF29 MEL-HKG (the flight this day was not scheduled to continue to LHR) on Mar05 and then swapped with VH-OJT which operate QF127 on Mar07. VH-OJS then operated the return QF128 on Mar07 where VH-OJT operated QF86 HKG-MEL the same night.

Jason,

Thanks for the info,i didn't know that there was a QF29 that was not scheduled to go on to LHR. The one i don't understand is QF86,im assuming some sort of one off.

Cheers
Jim

Whenever there is a short working on QF29 the return Hong Kong - Melbourne is always QF86 and never QF30.

Thanks Ian,as I said I wasn't aware before this that there was a short working QF29,so hence I didn't know of the existence of QF86. I just knew it was not an everyday occurance but you have now cleared it up and I have learned something new.

Thanks for the added info,

Cheers
Jim

How often has a 747 been diverted to NTL?
