Interesting - news may have been first with the story, but today's SMH reports and has a pic of an ATR72-500. RIP the captain.

And what is a "Turboflot"? Yes, yes, I know they meant Turbolet, but.....

The registration is HS-PGL. Acft is actually an ATR72-500

From other pics I have seen the Control Tower looked like it was in use at the time.

It's the old Control tower it hit. It is or was used by the Fire services.
