Raaf f/a18f delivery
 

According to an ADF Press Release, the first four F/A18Fs for No 1 Sqn RAAF will commence their delivery flight to RAAF Amberley Qld from Naval Air Station, Lemoore, California on 19 March.

Serials should be A44-201 to 204.

Gee, I remember the delivery of the first two F/A18As in May 1985. Can it really be nearly 25 years ago ?

From what I've heard, the F/A 18Fs will arrive 23 March.

"Begin" from Lemoore on 19 March... You lose two days crossing the dateline, plus they'll have two nights at Hickam in Hawaii en route.

Word is they'll be arriving in Canberra first, not Amberley.

Just reporting what I read in the email.

The delivery flight is scheduled to "begin" on 19 March ; there was no mention of an arrival date nor that the F/A18Fs may visit Canberra first.
