Vh-bzg
Hi there
A future Virgin Blue B737 delivery will be registered VH-BZG, which was previously allocated to a Victorian farmers Piper Warrior. BZG will stand for Brett & Zahra Godfrey. The farmer swapped the rego with Virgin Blue for a couple of tickets to Canada & Alaska, while the co-owner of the Warrior is off to South Africa with the compliments of Virgin Blue. The 737 will be named "Bretts Jet" the first male name on a Virgin Blue aircraft. Cheers Anthony T |
Nice
I like the way DJ add all the personality to what is`usually nowadays a pretty corporate bottom line business (aviation and in particular, airlines) without the romance of yesteryear  |

VH-BZG believed to be a B737-800 delivery in July Good to see friendship overiding commercial rivalry Attitudes change...some of my former football enemies are now my best friends |
This aircraft was originally to become either VH-VUW or VH-VUX
|
VH-VBH is named after a male. Spirit of Salty.
|
VH-ZPK 'Aussie Rob' I would consider a male name.
Was wondering how they would pay off the Piper's owners for the rego, and good to see that they are placing a little bit of a personal touch to honour their ex-CEO. |
Another example of swapping regos years ago was Ansett wanting to convince the owner of the Piper PA-32R VH-HYM (still current) to give up the rego for use on an A320.
It never happened. Obviously some free flights didn't work. |
VH-BZG is now on the Aussie register
|
Anyone know anything more specific about the expected delivery date for the new bird?
|
From what I'm lead to believe, BZG won't be here in Oz til August.
