I'm booked on the Hobart day trip for Good Friday, should be a good day just hope the weather holds out

Wouldn't you be better off just buying a cheapo airfare?? Get FF points, status, and can arrange an activity whist on the ground. Just a thought.
I used to do Mystery flights out of Sydney in the 80s. We used to pay $10 with Ansett (Air NSW) or East-WEST. I went all over the place, from Ayers Rock to Hobart, to Maroochydore. It was fantastic for a Kid to do that. Only catch back then was you went out on the flight, turned around and came back on same AC.. Mind you, the "Mystery flight" was not much of a Mystery once I got to know airport staff, as they would book me on all the jet flights, or places I hadn't been. Most of the time, had E/Crew boarding passes, hence Jump seat rides. Can you imagine that happening today?? Ahhh memories

Usually for a day trip i would do it that way, however as the purpose of this one is for the Good Friday Appeal for the Childrens Hospital, i feel im doing my bit for the appeal by taking this day trip :)

I bet it will go up to QLD again this year to support local businesses hit hard by the floods and TC Yasi/Anthony.

My first commercial flight was an Air NSW mystery flight - F27 to Wagga. I still remember being invited into the cockpit on descent! :)
