My Emirates experience has been broadly positive. Especially as it cuts out the nightmare that is LHR. The DXB to SYD leg used to be sub optimal if not having a stopover in DXB as it was 7 or 8 hours layover. Not sure how the new flight connections will work.

When you next make it to the cradle of the modern world i recommend you drink Talisker....
