Would the elevators be set for liftoff when it is sitting on the ground? If they were otherwise, it's hard to see how this could happen.

Still, amazing video, that's for sure!

not sure about the elevator settings on this one , but without the four engines she is considerably lighter and more aerodynamic;)

Depending on what has been removed internally (probably everything) and with no engines, the CofG would be set back and a good wind under the fuselage would provide lift along with the wings.

The leading edge slats are deployed and it looks like a small amount of flaps are also deployed, perfect conditions for the aircraft to want to do what it does best really !
