Don't want to be picky but if you are going to try and use the proper name of a company you should get it right. You will find the airline trades as Malaysia Airlines (or in full Malaysia Airlines System Berhad). Note the lack of a N on the word Malaysia.

As for the flights MH122/123 have now changed from 747 to 777 and from later in the week MH140/141 changes from 777 to A330.

Haha, maybe you should check before you get picky,it is Malaysian Airlines System Berhad, not Malaysia.;)

There was news last year that Malaysia Airlines were keen on not just retiring their 747s (which they've now finally done), but get rid of their 777 fleet and replacing them with A330-300s over the next few years. Is this still the case?

From April 6th MH123/122 is scheduled to become an A330-300 as well. Which means the SYD-KUL route will be all A333's from April with Air Asia X and Malaysia Airlines.

The pax 747's aren't completely retired, with atleast 2 to be retained for use on Charter flights (Umrah, Hajj, etc).

As for 777's, 9M-MRK is already WFU.

With the improvements now offered for A333's, they are becoming a much more viable longer haul workhorse.
