Bankstown Today - 13/04/2013
 

The main purpose of the trip out to Bankstown today was to shoot the Pionair BAe 146-200, so I was hoping it was not in a hanger on such a beautiful day. G-ZAPN was parked perfectly for some good shots, and the livery is quite impressive. Although most of the hangers were closed today, there was still some interesting action around the airport. DC-3 VH-CWS did a full taxi around the perimiter, and one of the Robinson choppers was doing some hover training on the grass near the bus depot, very interesting to watch and I shot some video which I will post separately.

This is one of the plates on the nose wheel door of the "Bandit" I shot back on the 16th March 2003. There were no other plates towards the rear of the
aircraft, and I have not found any information on the net for any of these plate numbers.

Grahame,

The Bandy is ex. N110EM/110426 of Pacific Island Aviation.

It arrived in Aus in 2001 and eventually scrapped at Bankstown after 2004.

The data plate confirms the id.
