Danny, I was out between 12-5pm yesterday, and the traffic comes in dips and waves. I'd say most times out by the airport are pretty interesting if you hang around long enough, though if you can, I go onto the Sydney Airports website and go to the Departures/Arrivals list to see what's due in and out at certain times.
