In 1970 it was BA722 and went :
Heathrow-Zurich-Rome-Karachi-Calcutta-Singapore-Darwin-Sydney on a B707
Although I think the route varied depending on what day of the week it was.
In 1972 my family were subload as staff and were sent LHR-FCO on BA then FCO-THR-BKK on AF then BKK-SIN on SU (IL-62
) and finally SIN-SYD MEL on AZ. (but I am moving from the topic, sorry)
