Aviation Paint Technology
Does anyone know the impact Aviation Paint Technology over the last 50 years ?
For example:
When QF rolled out their first B707 the paint was a major component with regard to load carrying, range and fuel burn.
Can that be compared to the new "Retro" B738 paint job.
I expect that there would a considerable difference in paint weight and thickness.
Can only help quantify ?
