If it was so bad that you feel like venting, write to the security section at Sydney Airport and outline your concerns there. They'll no doubt give you some feedback, and if there is a problem from the airside of the fence then they'll address it to ensure there aren't any further problems.

As i said nigel, it was a problem when i was there
yesterday, other times it has not been a problem, as you may know, it all depends on who you get and how they interpret the rules.
i have had security come up and have a great chat and offer some great tips.
It was not a vent, more highlighting the point, as most know, some security are not as friendly as some. i doubt Sydney Airport would want to waste their time checking on the "Friendlyness" of each security guard.
