His Excellency Mr President Issoufou Mahamadou, President of the Republic of Niger, flew into Sydney this afternoon, after visiting Perth and Canberra. This is the first visit to Australia by a President of the Republic of Niger.
The Niger Government Boeing B737-75U BBJ (28976) 1998 build, is in immaculate condition for a 19 year old aircraft. 5U-GRN touched down on Runway 34L and taxied via GOLF to DOM 6 Bay 99. As soon as the official party had left the aircraft under police escort, hold baggage was removed, a refueling tanker pulled up in front of the starboard wing, and a Catering vehicle at the starboard front cabin door. The crew put engine covers in place, along with Pitot cover ribbons etc. Tug Red Lima then towed the aircraft to the Kilo Apron.
