Since 1996 they have removed the last two large registration digits from the tail and the fully rego from behind the roundel on the fuselage. The downsizing of the tail numbers started once 37 SQN started going to the Middle East with the J models i believe. When we got the J's in 1999 they had a similar tail marking to the SQN's then E models.
