Was an interesting mission this time. As I mentioned above, he came via Guam and when he left Richmond on Wednesday, flew direct to Hickam rather than going via Pago Pago, which is quite unusual - the winds must have been very favourable. I think that may have been an inflight decision...

Usually the callsign terminates at Hickam but not this time - RCH5E1 was then used for the flight from Hickam to Travis after a night stop.

Liveatcf.net actually broadcasts Travis AFB, and was able to listen from contacting approach until handed off to Ground.

About an hour later, the aircraft left to go home to March AFB. The crew and ATC used the callsign RCH5142 however, the ACARS download for this sector still displayed the callsign RCH5E1.
