Orion Low Pass Off The Coast At Sydney
At 1300L today, an RAAF Orion did a very low pass along the coast off Sydney, estimated height around 200ft. These images were taken from the northern headland at Maroubra Beach. If anyone has the Rego of this aircraft, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Stephen, glad I didn't wait for a reverse pass down the coast.

One of the 11 squadron birds, wonder if she was on her retirement flight?

A whale watcher boat cut a whale loose of ropes and nets late on Tuesday off Sydney.
There were searching for the whale again yesterday. Maybe the Orion was requested to come down low and have a look ? As of last nights news, the whale hasn't been seen again. |

I spoke to one of the flight crew prior to the flight and no mention of any whale searches was made. These guys tracked to YWOL before heading coastal and descending into Victor 1.
