Hi all. something tricky. I was heading home from a Party this morning and i heard a roar above my head, i looked up and i saw an aircraft. I looked at the time and it was 1:48am and i don't know what airline/aircraft it was. Thanks

I assume from your profile location that you were in the Sydney area at the time you saw and heard the aircraft in question . On checking the Web Trak website , there appears to have been no aircraft flying in the Sydney area at that time . Could you be more specific with your location details ?? .

I was working last night, but didn't hear any roar at that time...
However, I'd hazard a guess to say it was the Singapore Airlines B777 from Auckland-Singapore. Was it heading in a NW direction, or were you too inebriated to be able to tell? ![]()

Only aircraft that fits that time would have been SQ282 from Auckland to Singapore. Grahame Hutchinson's 16Right. com shows ACARS from 9V-SVA at 1:20 this morning.
(Either that or the aircraft you saw had a dirty great big spotlight on the front and a red and blue strobe on it!) ![]() |

It was heading south, though the SQ flight seems the most relevant. I was just curious as it was pretty low and it was past the curfew hours.

SQ282 would not have been low...

It was over the campbelltown area, i don't know whether thats considered low but it was as high as arrivals are over the area

What was the strobe pattern? Did it have landing lights on?
