Default Brazil's Olympian Task: Cleaning Junkyard Airports Before the Games

I thought some of you may enjoy this article from the Wall Street Journal on Brazil's airport expansions and the problems that their tarmac graveyards are causing in this process. An interesting slide show is included in the article also.

Thanks for posting this Justin. I'm heading over there later this year with a fellow Melbourne enthusiast, so I'll be hoping that the clean up isn't too efficient this year !

Interesting article Justin. I just got back from over there and visited some of these airports. When i was in Manaus it was night but they have an outdoor viewing deck on the second level of the airport were you can get an alright view of some of these scrapped planes. At the time i was wandering what they where doing there but this article now answers my question.
