Exclamation Objectivity is needed

Whilst I don't think the PelAir report was one of the ATSB's best, the Crikey article is completely OTT the other way and I don't agree with it.

I have been reading ATSB and NTSB reports for many years and I think the quality of ATSB reports is very high.

The quality of the ATSB report into the Pel Air accident was bordering on defamation, lacking in facts and was perhaps one of the poorest attempts at an accident report in history.

I haven't read the Crikey article, but I dare say it's not far off the mark!!

From within the industry, the ATSB does not have a good name and I don't think I've met one person who thinks the Pel Air report was even anywhere near "not one of their best".

Apparently the Senate have just released a report, basically telling the ATSB to go back and start from square one, and do it properly.
