Default EK413 via Adelaide?

Hey guys, i was looking at flight tracker last night and noted EK413 was flying over Adelaide.

Is this normal as it seems to far south to get to it's destination?

It is normal; I have flown through this route serveral time and always over flown Adelaide, one time we flew overhead Mt.Isa in north Qld to get to Dubai.

It all depends on the favourable winds.

Not saying it hasn't happened before, but I can't say I have actually worked UAE413 tracking directly over Adelaide much before last night. More regularly would be north of Adelaide basically Mildura-Whyalla-Ceduna.....
Seems there was some favourable "southerly" winds mid-bight last night as the Melbourne Asia flex track went south of Kangaroo Island headed west until about SA/WA border before heading north to Asia.
