Default Air NZ 747 IFE

Just a quick question.

Does the 747 have the same IFE as the 777?

According to the schedule dad and I will be flying on the 747 to Vancouver later in the year.

Reason I am asking is I rather watch videos I load onto my iPad rather than what they have to offer.

If you're watching videos on your iPad, why does it matter what the IFE system is?

Default 747

I believe the newer systems you can plug a cable in that allows you to use the aircraft headphones, saves using those crappy earbud ones or bringing you own.

Unfortunately the ANZ 747 doesn't have this feature as it uses the older Rockwell Collins IFE. They also use this in the 777-200
