Default Odd posting bug: insufficient message length

As can be seen from the attachment, I received a spurious error message refusing to accept my post. I have not seen this before - has anyone else experienced a post rejection due to insufficient message length?

Yes, I have. It happened when I only put a URL and quote in the post. When I added a few words of comment to the post as text it was accepted. So I am guessing that you have to type something in all posts, not just link URLs or insert quotes.

Hope this helps.

Ah - that may well be the explanation, Justin, as I was sucessfully able to post only by removing the quote labels: http://yssyforum.net/board/showthread.php?t=952

Its a thing with vbulletin.

Its not a bug at all, rather you cant type a blank message, and anything in php (quote, url tags) is not considered a message or post by the software, so you have to have something written.
