A Rex plane also had a problem yesterday en route to Broken Hill and diverted to Griffith. Today Show's Steve Jacobs was on the flight.

The Rex flight to Broken Hill suffered a hydraulic problem. I was listening to the interview that the Today Show had with steve, he mentioned that the pilots were very apologetic & explained that the plane had only enough hydraulic fluid to lower the landing gear. Steve Jacobs also said that the pilots had to retract the flaps by a hand operated lever in the cockpit.

Why would they do that? I think Steve meant extend them.

REX had a problem in MEL today, We were late getting off the ground for our flight to Hobart on QF1011, Captain said there was reports of debris on the runway, im not sure what the problem was with the aircraft though.
