Early days but it looks like sad news out of Jakarta- with the SU95 missing, presumed crash near to Jakarta after a demo flight.

Not good news at all for the SuperJet; or even the Russian aircraft industry as a whole. It seemed that they were finally getting on their footing again to become a real player in the market, this will not help.

Good morning Chris,
Last I heard, the aircraft is still missing and the search was called off overnight due to bad weather and obviously, receding light. It should be almost sun rise there in Jakarta, so the search should be continuing very soon, hopefully with some success in finding the site. |

Zero chance of survivors. At least it was quick for those onboard and those in the back wouldn't have known what was about to happen
