What is it with the Qantas 767s. Do they fly empty on most flights or do they just have tight schedule to meet. Not all 767s take of like space shuttles however the qantas 767s taking of out of 34R go straight up. Spotting for a few years now and have seen the odd 767 or MD-11 on a rapid ascent but the Qantas 767s do it quite regularly out of Sydney. Do they do this out of most airports?

The 763ERs are designed to fly around 10 hours with a full load - the hops to Brisbane and Melbourne are not even close to these capabilities!

Agree Ive always noticed they have very good climb performance, but once again as someone else said flying MEL-SYD-BNE is not what they are designed for.
