I wonder if it may have anything to do with the repatriation of the remains of Flying Officer Michael Herbert and Pilot Officer Robert Carver who were lost in a Canberra bomber in November 1970 ?
The remains are being escorted home from Hanoi by the Chief of the Air Force, Air Marshall Mark Binskin and family and former members of No 2 Squadron and are due at RAAF Richmond on Monday. It would be a poignant and appropriate gesture if the Temora Canberra was present on Monday for the ceremony. |

Yes, there is going to be a ceremony on the tarmac in front of airmovements between 10:00 and 12:00 on Monday morning. The Canberra may do a fly past, hope so.

I drove past Richmond early on Saturday morning on my way out to Orange but could not see it parked anywhere. Returning from Orange this afternoon it way parked on the apron outside the easternmost hangers. Not in a place where you could get a good shot unfortunately.

Looks like it will only be a static display, its parked in front of the seating set up for the ceremony, no GSE or anything near it.
