Default Late night movements

Was just watching the Sydney region on Webtrack around 50 minutes ago, and noticed a plane from Perth making a bit of a last minute arrival at Mascot.

It hit the ground at 2253, but to my surprise, 3 more planes also popped up on approach. They barely made it by 2300, but by this stage another 5 were on approach.

The final three were identifiable as B461 ex Bris landing at 2310, followed by B463 ex Adelaide landing at 2314, and finally JST626 landing at 2318. I'm assuming the previous two were Toll Bae 146s, but surely the Jetstar flight would be in the poo landing that late?

On top of this a flight JMN 2 (757) departed for Auckland at 2311, followed by VOZ896 to Melbourne at 2316.

Why were there so many late arrivals and departures, and which flights will be considered as breaking the curfew?

Red face

Okay, hold everything ...... after re-looking at Webtrak, I now, of course, realise that I was watching what had actually occurred, in this instance, 45 minutes earlier!

I had simply assumed that what I was watching was live.

The BAe146's VH-NJV normally flys into SYD from BNE, and one of either NJF,M,Z fly from ADL into SYD during curfew.

This was the first time I had looked at Webtrak, and went straight to the map, not realising that it was necessary to manually load the current/previous time period that you wish to watch. No wonder there were so many after curfew flights.
