Default Smoke at Canberra RAAF side this afternoon

Around 5PM this afternoon I saw a large cloud of smoke all around the RAAF hanger at Fairbairn. There were no flames or glow to be seen, nor could I see any emergency services racing around.

Anyone know anything?

Probably just emergency services training. You will often see large plumes of black smoke from near the end of 17 as that is their training module, depending on which way the wind blows it ends up elsewhere. Either that or one of the ancient GPU's was starting up

Given the somewhat fractious relationship the Hon Member for Griffith had with 34 Sqn crews, they may have been burning the special instructions for PM flights and KR's inflight stationary!
