QF42 16/10 - Local standby
Just heard SKSA on local standby for arrival of QF42. Didn't hear what the problem was. I saw it on final for 25 from my apartment with a lot of smoke coming from the left engine. Seemed to land OK with fire trucks behind. Anyone know what the problem was?

The smoke trailing behind looked to be blue in colour so my guess is that it was oil related. Aircraft was QPH

It pulled into Gate 5 with fire engines behind it - the only real excitement from people around it was to get a tug to pull it in the gate (there was a back up of road traffic waiting to pass behind it).

It should have been ARRF on standby not the airport on standby

Airfield ops also go on standby, so technically the airport is on standby
