Mate much to tim and seth's dissapointment I'm going Nikon, I'm looking at a D300 is it. Just wondering if it's good quality as others have said you loose a bit after 400 mm...I'll call ya today anyway..

D300 Very good camera. D300s a bit better.
My D300 pics are below in the Jetphotos Link I'm using the 150-500 Sigma. You just need to remember that they need to swallow a lot of light at the end of the zoom to get good pics. I went for the 150-500 as it seems a better lens for the long distance stuff. Unlike the 50-500 it is not trying to be all things to everybody. New model to replace the D300 coming later in the year. (D400 allegedly)

Awesome pics Jayden.
The shot of the Iron Maiden 757 is great. I also like the underbelly shot of the REX Saab 340, puts a nice new perspective that isn't often shown in pics. Cheers
