Company Routes
Does anyone know where I can find info about the routes that Qantas and other airlines use for their flights? I'm referring to the various waypoints they use on each flight.

VATPAC use standard Air Services routes in their Pilot Assist system: http://vatpac.org/assist/?pg=pilotassist
These are the same standard routes used by Qantas, Virgin Blue, Jetstar etc. Input the origin and destination and it will provide the route. To get the waypoints on the route you'll need to use the 'create flight card' function by inputing the acft type and a few other items. Sydney Brisbane gives: DCT SY H185 ENTRA Y245 BANDA H185 BN DCT and Fix.......... Dist. Type Lat........... Long YSSY......... 0......ALA...33 56 46S 151 10 38E SY............ 0..... What sort of international destinations are you after? The problem is that there are many many different routes (Esp if you are including Europe), and that these days over the Pacific "Flex Routes" or "User Preferred Routes" are used, and are selected on the day and are not always on published air routes.

To gain the pacific flights to and from the US/Canada go here, http://flightaware.com/statistics/ifr-route/ and type in the codes.
Now this is a North American website so it will only bring up flight plans for that region both flown domestic and internationally. Regards Rob Fluke |

That flightaware website is pretty much exactly what I'm after, basically giving examples of actually flown routes. Thanks everyone for the input so far!!

Yeah, very low density of traffic in addition to the fairly varied routes that are flown due to winds. SYD - LAX can sometimes go not far north of Auckland, and close to Apia before turning north and going up a long way, or sometimes it can go almost over Brisbane heading north before turning right and going north of Honolulu.
There are a couple of published air-routes which are occasionally used (esp if going near HNL and joining the HNL - USA routes.) Any particular routes you are after? |

Basically I'm after any routes I can find, for any airlines, but mainly I'm interested in Qantas.
