Qantas additional 763 flight ADL-CBR tomorrow (11/3/09)
This popped up in the QF schedules - a 767-300 mid-afternoon Adelaide-Canberra. Anyone have any idea why? The flight seems to be pretty full as only fully flexible seats available for sale.

I will take a guess - possibly a major conference (and a lot of delegates arriving from ADL) or both houses of parliament are sitting.

I think Parliament is sitting next week.

I did CBR-ADL last year to carry the Indian cricket team. Qantas is fortunate to have aircraft of various sizes to cater for differing loads (a Cessna 152 may suffice if things keep going the way they are!!!)

VH-OGK did QF683 MEL-ADL and then QF1190 to Canberra.
There was an Aboriginal conference in Adelaide yesterday but I hardly think they would fly out at 1410

Some other 767 happenings over the last week. On the 12th, QF562 departing Canberra to Sydney was a 767-338. Last Night QF821 (last flight out) Departing Canberra to Melbourne was also a 767-338. Love working with the 767!

I have since found out that the 767 was for the Department of Defence.
