A380 afs fcu hdg/trk, vs/fpa sw

I'm updating the cockpit interactions for the A380 in an open source flight simulator, and I've got stuck on the HDG,TRK V/S,FPA switch on the FCU of the AFS on the glareshield.

How does the physical interaction with that switch actually work, it seems to have about 6 different functions for one little switch?

For example how would you set managed HDG and selected V/S?
