More info on the RESA works can be found here http://www.sydneyairport.com.au/SACL...-Forecast.html
Rwy 07/25 will be operational from June 15. According to the link above, the RESA project will not be complete at this time and so work will have to be carried out around LTOPs requirements.

The SCAL site says that jet grouting will be carried out overnight. Does anyone know what jet grouting is? It can't be the obvious!

I found this very brief bit on the net. Not sure how much that helps or answers your question. Im actually wanting to know if this is pretty much all there is to it? Anyone know any more about?

We've had many projects around Sydney use jet grouting over the years to help stabilize the sandy soil; directional drilling for the pit and duct taxiway lighting project required it to maintain the tunnels bored through the sand until the conduits could be dragged through.
It's a very messy, but very effective method.

Nige, I may have asked you before, but the 04JUN09 DAP still shows 07/25 to have only MIRL. Are there any plans to put in HIRL? I'm sure it used to have it...

Hmmm...that's strange. I thought we had HIRL's on that Rwy already...
I'll check on it tonight and get back to you. Cheers Nigel

Alright, having woken up and having a think about this, here's the go...
With the RESA works ongoing and Rwy 07/25 coming back online on the 15th June, the 'original' RESA works restrictions of Golf-2 being the last available exit on Rwy 25 and the lighting in place to facilitate this means it only has MIRL (Medium Intensity Runway Lighting) available. Once the RESA works are complete, then the HIRL's (High Intensity Runway Lighting) will come back into play, and I'm sure the DAP will be amended accordingly. Cheers
