Hi All,
Include QF44 (ZK-ZQA), Diverted to YMML, overfly Kinglake now for Rwy 16. Looking at planefinder, did a circuit out at sea, before heading to MEL. Stuart

It's actual not normal anymore. Airb delays in Sydney on a normal day are down to less than 4 mins per aircraft thanks to Metron. Last night, storms within 30-100nm of YSSY caused extensive congestion within the TMA and a reduced rate of traffic acceptance because of the irregular weather deviations required. Around 6:30pm traffic holding was increased from 20 mins to 45. Most airborne aircraft didn't have the fuel and consequently some were forced to divert.
