I tried room 805 & their plane spotters package last week , a clear ,calm day /night for spotting from room 805. This room gives a clear view of all 34/16 & 25/07 but not much of the approach . The cargo bays & activities are right in front & some gates . The glass is double glazing & a bit dirty so photography was a bit iffy , some flare & ghosting but good enough to record the experience. The first time for many years i have seen most of the airport in one view. No outdoor area on the roof .If you need to fly at early am times this is a must to avoid the chaos outside & check in delays. Most people traveling out seemed to have excess baggage & the checkin lines l o n g .The hotels breakfast from 0400 hrs was very good .With a scanner & Flightradar24 the 24 hours was a unique experience at Rydges.
