Any times on its movements tomorrow (Wed 15th). I'll be at the airport very early as I'll be heading off to Fiji on DJ at 8am. So just wondering if it'll be arriving or departing SYD around 6am-ish onwards?

(Also, I'll do my best to provide a trip report once I get back. First time I'll be using my new Sony DSLR on a flight, so should be fun! )

I'm too lazy (and cant be stuffed sitting in the ridiculous traffic) to go to the airport and see it

Going to Melbourne in January, will see her then...although to see an A380 taking off at Perth would be a sight to behold i'm sure.

Nice picture Montague!

Apparently runway 06 for departures at the moment according to ATIS - run for most of 06 i would suggest (i'm assuming MTOW is significantly lower due to no pax).

Will there be a flyover before she heads for the east? There was one this morning i think? I saw something do a u-turn over the ocean and come back.

Maximum Take Off Weight stays the same, pax or not, for the runway length available and atmosphere conditions of the day.

I heard from a Mate of mine in the UK that it was damage to a latch.

He said he didn't know how badly or whether it involves replacing the door its
attached to, suffice to say that the airplane wont be flying till fixed.

That was a few days ago of course.

ahh sorry i meant the weight of the aircraft would be significantly lower than MTOW due to no pax.

i really like the third one of the close-up of the forward half of the plane.
also how it shows the 'fake' painted windows.
