Thats fair enough but there are not 47 in course and I have first hand info on that.
This is besides the point however to this thread- Foremost the pilot shortage is not gone however has recently been put under the covers so to speak due to the global financial crisis and airlines stopping recruiting or placing holds on applicants. As Hugh points out it is an excellent time to be training as once done the industry will hopefully have recovered and be heading north again |

So another words Matt, the shortage has gone for the time being, .
Try telling a few friends of mine who are now jobless, that there's still a pilot shortage.... Mick |

I'm a UNSW student too and there is around 40 students at this stage; not saying that some will drop out. I dont know how you can be so confident that there are only 10 or so when i can count them everyday at uni....
