Still there and not looking like there is a lot of activity around it. I would be surprised if it isn't there on the weekend.

There are floodlights set up at the front right of the aircraft where it is, but I don't know if they did that for extra security or if they're working on it at night. Cheers

They hope it will leave Saturday 30 May One Week Late
It was due to operate SQ-220 last Saturday 23 May, they had a slight problem if a Toll Cargo Loader doing some damage to the Front Cargo Door and Hold and Boeing advised they should fix the problem before it flies so it will be a Huge Insurance Clam, Singapore Airlines had to enlist the help of QANTAS engineering to replace a lot of parts so it could fly back to Singapore. I have a feeling that this might be the last time we see the bird in Sydney and Singapore Airlines might Park in for good when it gets back to Singapore.

Thanks Mate. I was wondering what it was all about and it seems everyone knew but me |

I drove past tonight about 9pm and it was still there. The Front port side door was open and the were lights and vehicles around the front of the aircraft.

There are Singapore Airlines engineers working on it as I type. There are about 150-200 small drill holes just aft of the cargo door, so I presume this is where the damage was sustained and is where the repair is centred.
If it flies today, I would hazard a guess that it won;t be until rather late in the day. EDIT: Spoke to the SQ engineers...they said they're still waiting for parts from Boeing, so it won't be going anywhere for a couple of days.

Went there to get some photos yesterday mid-morning, and the aircraft looked fine at the time.
Not much activity around it, and no visible repair work being done. |

Said a/c was moved into H271 on Sunday night,so that it could be jacked up to finish the repairs.

Thanks stranger! How long have you been on your current shift pattern?
Was it moved to the hangar so they could jack it up, or was it to get the poor SQ engineers out of the cold and rain?!? The engineer I spoke to had about 5 layers on and was still cold; it was a rather balmy 14 degrees at the time.
