They did say it on final well before touchdown, but I suppose that could be the case. Perfectly normal touchdown, and yet they used idle reverse thrust, I think with a bit of reversers they could have made the Alpha 4 quite easily. But hey I'm not a pilot to judge! Just curious.

It will be seen each Tuesday and Sunday in Sydney, and as Stefan posted, the Tuesday flight will continue to Melbourne. I believe this pattern will continue until around Christmas/New Year.

Managed to capture her landing from Swamp Rd. Snuck up on the few spotters that were there. Really quiet as she flew over head. Only got one snapshot as I video'd her landing. Any other shots were blocked by the BA 777 lining up for 16R but I'm just glad to have been there!
Great shots from those down at the Beach, a much better spot to appreciate the paintjob and the length of the -8! Dan
