It was towed to the Northern Pond east stand-off bays yesterday. The work they were doing was to remove some equipment from under the nose so they could then attach a towbar to move it.

The callsign they were using that I picked up on my SBS was COTTON 55.

Hi Mark,

On arrival to Sydney they used "Ascot 4203" as their callsign.

See thats what was confusing me before. I posted that in the thread i started before this one got started anyway. Are they using cotton as their local callsign and ascot as their international one like we use Trojan then Aussie?

The RAF uses "Ascot " as a call sign when flying within UK airspace too ..

Does anyone know if it departed Syd yet,it was up on PP again this afternoon at about 4pm?

It could have departed. It got towed around to the GA this morning again and the guys pulled out the beach chairs.
