I was at the airport on tuesday with all that rain. Qantas were still comming in but from the north RWY15 not from south over the city all the other flights got diverted. There is no high buildings in the north to avoid only houses of the suburbs like Yorkey's **** etc.

How can the newspaper expect any credibility if they run a story based on one passengers misguided account of a go-around.
Every go-around sees the airliner basically "scream upwards suddenly". Spooling engines and pitch changes have that effect! |

I must say that I'd rather "scream up into the air suddenly" than crash into the ground suddenly......

I dunno Kent, considering some of the IFE (or lack-there-of) pax have to tolerate sometimes the ground seems a viable option

The sad thing is this could well be the case for other stories and not just aviation-related ones and they are the people that are controlling public perception! how scary is that!
